Ana Serra e Moura is a Portuguese lawyer specialized in arbitration.
Experience in arbitration
Since 2008 Ana Serra e Moura has been working in a team with Juan Fernández-Armesto, founding partner of Armesto & Asociados, and Deva Villanúa, in more than 20 arbitration proceedings, including domestic and international, ad-hoc and administrative arbitrations and involving commercial, as well as construction and investment disputes.
Most of the international commercial cases were administered by the ICC, whilst other arbitrations were conducted under the rules of the LCIA. As regards international commercial ad-hoc arbitrations, most of the arbitrations were subject to the UNCITRAL Rules. Ana Serra e Moura has frequently acted as Secretary to the Arbitral Tribunal.
Her experience in domestic commercial arbitration relates to cases administered by the Madrid
Court of Arbitration. Ana Serra e Moura has also participated in domestic commercial ad-hoc
cases subject to the Spanish Arbitration Act.
Investment disputes were administered by ICSID, as well as the PCA and ICC.
Previous Experience
Ana Serra e Moura worked as a trainee lawyer at a Portuguese law firm named “Carlos Cruz &
Associados”, from September 2005 to July 2008.

Education
Ana Serra e Moura finished her secondary studies at Escola Salesiana de Santo António do Estoril.
She holds a degree in Law (Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Lisbon, Portugal).
On her third year at Law school, Ana Serra e Moura participated in a summer school in Roger Williams University, Rhode Island, regarding the American Legal System.
In 2008 she has attended the Master in Legal Practice in Instituto de Empresa in Madrid.
